To assist the Head – Legal and Compliance in all compliance tasks including:

  • Developing internal policies relating to Anti Money Laundering and oversee their implementation.
  • Carrying out in depth Customer Due Diligence Checks of all entities and individual clients.
  • Conducting screening and independent verifications
  • Preparing reports annually and such other periodic reports on adequacy/shortcomings of internal controls and other AML/CFT procedures implemented.
  • Taking notes of compliance minutes
  • Monitoring the day-to-day administration transactions / operations.
  • Reviewing internal procedures manuals on a regular basis
  • Verify equivalent and non-equivalent jurisdictions/high risk countries/ Sanctions.
  • Perform business and client risk assessments with an AML perspective
  • Review all documents/agreements/ contracts from a compliance perspective.
  • Monitor, and as necessary, coordinate compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all the compliance activities and to identify trends.
  • Liaising with the authorities such as the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and other relevant statutory bodies.
  • Assisting in the review of all client files and ensure they are in order with legislations
  • Ensuring that the review and update of manuals are as per updates in legislation
  • Carry out AML audits for Client entities.
  • Identifying the compliance gaps and establishes plans to reduce / bridge the gaps

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 2 years in a compliance role

LLB or any degree in conjunction with law

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure

Fluent in both English and French

Conversant with FATCA, CRS and Data Protection

Knowledgeable of AML/CFT Program

Knowledgeable of the FSC rules and regulations

Knowledgeable of the MRA and ROC requirements

Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to overcome obstacles.
